If you are thinking about Selling Homes for a Living in California, you must have an Active California Real Estate License. Also you must Work under a Broker's License to have an Active Real Estate License.  I will give you all the information to get you one step closer in getting your Real Estate License.

In California to become a Real Estate Agent you must be 18+yrs., High School Graduate or Equivalent, and Complete 3 California Department for Real Estate Approved Courses.  There are many ways to accomplish taking these Courses.  You can attend a Community College, University, or Correspondence Courses.  A Correspondence Course, is an Approved California Department of Real Estate School that provides Real Estate Courses from Home.  Some of the Correspondence Courses are Affordable.  Less than $250.

To receive your Real Estate License you must Complete these 3 Courses:
*Real Estate Principles.
*Real Estate Practice.

and 1 Course from a Selection of:
*Real Estate Appraisal.
*Real Estate Escrow.
*Property Management.
and more.

Once you Complete these Courses, and Passed the Open Book Test.  You will receive a Certificate of Completion.  This Certificate is sent to the California Department of Real Estate, along with your Real Estate Sales Person Application.  You will receive a State Exam Date.  You must Pass the California Real Estate License Exam with a 70% or Greater, to receive your Real Estate License.  Once you have Passed your Real Estate Exam, you will undergo a Department of Juctice Background Check. You Can't have any FELONY'S on your Record.  If you have a Felony, you can't get your Real Estate License.

When you receive your License, you must Work under a Broker License.  I hope this has helped you in obtaining your Real Estate License.
